Sinopsis
The Lapindo mudflow in Sidoarjo has triggered a humanitarian tragedy of mud due to the struggle of social constructions and power struggles of local, regional and national political and economic actors. Creating prolonged horizontal and vertical conflicts.
The hot mud began gushing on 29 May 2006 and continued to overflow, submerging several villages and homes. Thousands of people live in limbo as their homes, possessions, rice fields, workplaces, shops and factories are submerged. Many Lapindo Mud victims to suffer from mental health disorders, such as depression and insanity, they have lost their lives due to illness, mental illness, and being exposed to the hot mud flow. The economic losses are also enormous, affecting not only the victims of Lapindo Mud, but also the wider community and businesses. This book reveals the chronology of various humanitarian tragedies only between 2006-2010, when the author intensively conducted direct research in the field.
